awkwaaaard.

Hey, is anybody out there?

I wanted to explain that I eventually made a deliberate decision to stop writing on the blog regularly for a few reasons.

1. Now that I have achieved all the things I set out to do in this blog, I figure the NEED for regular posting has passed. More importantly, I have set new goals for myself that are rather time consuming, such as saving for a trip to Portugal (which means doing more translation projects in my spare time), learning Portuguese, which involves homework and class nights, as well as making sure I take time for my friends, family and boyfriend as much as possible.
2. I had also started reading more, which eats away at all those spare moments I would have been blogging.

I began thinking about posting yesterday because there's something I want to show you.

Essentially, I wanted to show you that even though I am not blogging daily, and even though I am sometimes disappointed that I've put back on 5 lbs or more, I am still working hard whenever I have the motivation to stay active. I went through a weird phase in mid-winter that has since ended, and I'm making up for lost time now. I am painstakingly trying to get my running groove back, and taking some sort of bootcamp class with my boyfriend. I've also beeing going to the gym once in a while, and also asking my bf to train me whenever I don't feel motivated enough to do something on my own. During him break from school he's been kind enough to train me many times...

So the video I want to post is a little embarassing, mostly because I don't like seeing my beautiful abs from last year the way they look now, but it's really the least of my concerns. The other reason is that my deep breathing face makes me look like I'm trying to be sexy, especially in the last move: TRUST ME, anytime you're doing moves like this, the feeling inside is anything but smooth. And lastly, because I look like a super butch at the end and you see the holes in my workout pants.

Nevertheless, I think it proves that I'm still pushing my limits, doing things most girls are afraid to do because they're always telling themselves they CANNOT do certain things. You should see what the guys do. They're insane and do the coolest stuff. My thing is nothing compared to what they do, but as a girl with the opposite build of what I would need to do this easily, I'm not half bad for a beginner.

I am telling you now: you CAN do almost ANYTHING in life, but always following the same simple rules: don't try to be amazing at something you're just learning, don't be afraid to try something new and difficult, start out by doing only what you're capable of (in my case, this meant learning how to do just 1 pullup, for months) and then push yourself at your own pace.
